I started teaching Leah some music theory material since she's thinking of being a music major and trying to be prepared (and maybe test out of some classes). She rocked it, and for me as a teacher, it's always good to present new material to someone and figure out the most effective ways to explain it. I get to learn too!

Today I tried a 5-mile loop I'd heard of that goes through NW Albany. It was really pretty and a nice change from my usual route. Also a challenge, since I usually run around 3 miles. I'm considering running the Butte to Butte in Eugene on the 4th of July, so this was kind of a bit of a test to see if I could handle it.
